Exploring Small-Scale Broiler Farming Practices and Vaccine Adherence: A Study in Aguata, Nigeria

The study ascertained the production practices of small-scale broiler farmers in Aguata Local Government Area Anambra State, Nigeria. A multistage sampling procedure was adopted for random selection 80 using a structured interview schedule. data were analysed descriptive statistics. result reveals that 87.5% deep litter housing system, and 98.75% ensured their poultry houses sited well-drained soil properly ventilated pens. About 93% 98% had brooding finishing separately on farms adequate lighting heat houses, respectively. shows 100% 93.75% respondents administered antibiotics multivitamins at early stage day-old chicks adhered to Gumboro Lasota vaccine schedules, respectively, while only 1.25% provided footbath entry house. All used starters finishers feeding birds, mean weekly duration starter finisher 4.09 4.28 weeks, always provide water birds. concluded use recommended high some extent among farmers.
